About Us:

Kidz Kampuz is a Christian, non-denominational youth ministry & outreach of Paula Sanford Ministries in Chicago, Illinois.

We are giving Kidz an opportunity to escape violence against youth, in Chicago, by providing them a safe place to be Monday thru Friday between the hours of 3pm - 12 midnight.

At Kidz Kampuz, our goal is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children. Here you'll find a licensed, nurturing, educational, after school care / (& youth ministry) environment for children ages 7 to 12 years.

In addition to our primary mission of teaching & living the gospel of Jesus Christ, our primary areas of focus are Education, Performing Arts, The Environment, Sports & Community Service.

We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Therefore, our highly-qualified teachers and staff are committed to working within each child’s comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional and educational results....Plus, we have lot's of fun!

Our mission:

To strive to instill integrity, compassion and confidence in each child, as we skillfully weave artistic disciplines into everyday academics, sports, literacy and various extracurricular activities, along with knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ.

What we offer:

Kidz are given a quiet environment for homework and projects, with supervised access to computers and tutoring/assistance as needed. They will also participate in a variety of fun, interactive projects, such as:

* Cooking Classes / Nutrition

In order to develop essential life sustaining skills, each Kampuz member will learn about healthy, nutrition and sanitary meal preparation / handling. They will learn with the volunteer assistance of Simeon Career Academey's Culinary Arts program.

* "Ready Kids" Partners:

As Ready Kids Partners with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, they will learn to assist their families & other children, in emergency preparation and preparedness. They will be involved in the planning & production of emergency planning - Public Service Announcements (PSA's) , which will be featured on Chicago Access Network TV. (CAN TV)

* Performing Arts: / Music Ministry / CAN TV

In an effort to encourage creativity, program participants will learn to produce stage plays, various performing arts music & media production. They will dramatize emergency planning demonstrations & other selected productions.

* Literacy Program:

To encourage literacy, all program participants will obtain a library card and partake in various reading projects.

* Sports Kamp:

A variety of sports related activities will be offered to those interested in participating. We want to Nike back our block!

As we go about our day, there will be various opportunities to learn & incorporate God's Word, in our activities. We will also partake in various planned community service related projects, & other life enhancing methods of expression, such as arts & crafts, games, and physical activities

Daily tentative Kidz Kampuz Schedule:

3:00-3:15pm Arrival & Snack

3:15-3:45pm Homework Assistance

3:45-4:30pm Dinner Prep (Cooking Class) & Dinner

4:30-5:15pm Daily Planned Activities / Christian Education & Reflection

5:15-6:00pm         Free Time
6:15-8:45pm                 Independent / Group Activities
8:45-9:00pm                   Clean up / Prepare to rest
9:00-12 midnight    Rest Time & Time to go home.

Transportation:
It is the responsibility of parent or guardian to provide transportation to and from Kidz Kampuz.
